A personalized, whole-home energy efficiency upgrade
Want to bring your home up to modern efficiency standards but not sure where to start? Our Deep Energy Retrofit Pilot program is the perfect path forward. This pilot program makes it easy for homeowners to save on personalized energy-efficient upgrades that help reduce monthly energy costs.
This service is for PPL Electric Utilities customers who have electric heating or non-electric heating with central A/C and are planning multiple home upgrades, including insulation/air sealing and major appliances.
The Deep Energy Retrofit Pilot program includes rebates that are not available outside of the pilot.
Typical program participants can receive over $5,000 total in combined value, including $2,000 in rebates and up to $3,200 in federal tax credits.

We recognize that homes have multiple systems that interact. The Deep Energy Retrofit Pilot aims to create a solution for your whole home to help with energy costs, comfort, and your personal health.
The pilot evaluates and addresses air sealing and insulation issues, air quality risks, and mechanical system inefficiencies.

You’ll have a single, trained lead contractor as your point of contact so that you don’t have to manage specialists.
Personalized project plan
The lead contractor will complete a full assessment of your home. Next, they’ll identify the areas with the best energy efficiency improvement opportunities.
The lead contractor will compare your budget with all available rebates to find solutions that are a fit for your family.
Includes Key Elements of an ENERGY STAR® Home Upgrade
A Deep Energy Retrofit puts you on your way to realizing the benefits associated with an ENERGY STAR Home Upgrade. This carefully crafted set of six high-impact energy efficiency improvements are designed to work together to deliver significant energy and cost savings, while improving the health and comfort of your home. Products that earn the ENERGY STAR label are independently certified to save energy and help protect the environment. Learn more at energystar.gov/homeupgrade.
